Kings Of Spade
Kings Of Spade
KINGS OF SPADE are a high-energy, shameless dancing, foot-stomping brand of Blues Rock’N’Roll. Fronting Kings of Spade is florescent-mohawked, Kasi Nunes, who's fiery vocals recall a hybrid of soul queens Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin. Always wanting to push the bar at live shows KOS is in constant collaboration with other performers including dancers, musicians, or niche visual artists. They won 1st Place in the 2014 & 2015 Honolulu Pulse Awards “Best Local Rock Band” category, but have always set their sights on touring Nationally.
With music conceived in their hometown in Honolulu, Hawaii, KOS jumped at the opportunity to record in Nashville, TN with 2016 Grammy-winning producer, Dave Cobb (Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings). With the help of a successfully over-funded Kickstarter project to raise funds to record with Cobb, KOS finished their 2nd self-titled album which has since been nominated for a 2015 Hoku award for Best Rock Album. They are currently on their 7th US mainland tour with several West Coast dates in March 2016 including a landmark showcase at LA's Whisky-A-Go-Go and East Coast dates in June 2016 with more to be announced soon.

The KINGS are no strangers to big audiences. Their energetic live show beat out 50 other competing bands to win the opening slot for Bon Jovi’s Circle Tour and has also landed them as the openers for other world-famous acts like King's X, Deftones, Everclear, Pepper, and Mutemath. Their song "Boys In The Band" is featured on the film soundtrack for the Warner Brothers released Utopian Society.
Holly West
Holly West
Holly West’s new EP, MOKITA, is the surprise of the year. As a bassist in several Dallas based bands Holly garnered attention for her stage presence, and striking appearance. She moved on to a power trio where her bass playing blossomed. Ready for a new challenge Holly ventured out on her own. Her hard work and incredible musical growth is on display for us on MOKITA. A shockingly mature song writing approach, and the assist of a couple of seasoned pros on these tracks gives us one of the most promising debuts to be heard in years.

Joining Holly on these tracks are the drum wizard Brady Blade and guitar hero Gary Hoey, a long time friend of Holly’s. And handling the production is Chris Bell renowned for his work with the Eagles, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and the Mississippi Allstars to name just a few.

The EP begins with the very personal “Memo”, a driving statement of authority and power, and wraps with a sensational and traditional cover of Led Zeppelin’s “When The Levee Breaks”. The five song EP reflects influences like Clutch, Slash & The Conspirators, ZZ Top, and the Rival Sons, but fronted with a powerful female vocal that really has no rivals.
