Even though the band went into their collective career as teenagers, they emerged as a tried and true world class touring rock act, hitting the road and lighting up stages in 2016 with the likes of OTEP, Metal Allegiance, Dead Kennedy's, Hellyeah, Escape The Fate, Stitched Up Heart, Fire From the Gods and more, appearing on Shiprocked 2016, and included many headlining stints. The release of their debut full-length 2016’s IN YOUR FACE (AGAIN), produced by Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, showed the world what they were all about.
After meeting at the Phoenix SCHOOL OF ROCK in 2013, the fledgling band came to the attention of Ellefson, who took them under his wing, and together they began a sonic assault on the West Coast, playing shows with Social Distortion, DRI, and many more, and set out to work on their Ellefson produced debut studio release.
2015 saw the Worldwide release of Doll Skin’s debut EP In Your Face, through Ellefson’s own imprint EMP LABEL GROUP, distributed via Megaforce Records (also known as the launching pad for legendary big 4 thrash bands Metallica and Anthrax and many more.) and Cargo Records in Europe, and set Doll Skin on a trajectory that saw the band hit the road for the majority of the year and beyond, followed up with their debut full length in 2016, again through EMP, this time partnered with eOne.
Since the release of In Your Face (Again), Doll Skin’s colorful brand of Pop-Punk infused Hard Rock has garnered massive worldwide press and airplay through four singles, “Family of Strangers”, “Wring Me Out”, “Let’s Be Honest”, and “Furious Fixation”, including 2 months of repeat spins on Rodney on the Roq on the World Famous KROQ, grabbing rotation and winning cage matches all over the US, topping playlists in Japan, and finding a home on playlists across Europe and the US, with the album not once, but TWICE, being most added at CMJ Metal Radio.
The band topped off the year with an appearance in AP Magazine’s 2016 list of “7 of the Best Rising Bands Under 21”, and winning STONE CHROME RADIO’s LISTENERS CHOICE AWARD for “Female Fronted Band of the Year”, and will start 2017 off on an equally high note as they prepare to release their sophomore LP "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" on EMP LABEL GROUP available on June 16th, 2017.
The lead vocalist is Tyler Kray. He's been listening to rock / metal since 2005 and first started to perform in bands by 2011. Inspired by bands like Disturbed and Drowning Pool, he incorporates a heavy singing style with clean and raspy vocals along with harsh screams. He is also responsible for writing the majority of ODW's lyrics.
Nick Cozzolino, the guitarist, was turned onto rock music at the age of 10. Going to his first concert, not knowing anything about rock music, he saw Shinedown and Trapt perform. It was then that he knew that's what he wanted to for the rest of his life. He started playing guitar at age 11 and has been in and out of bands since 2010. ODW is the right fit he has been looking for. His roots are southern rock, hard rock and alternative metal.
The bassist of the band is Connor Koch. He has been listening to all types of music ever since he was a kid and has always had a passion for playing and performing. With a wide range of influences from Paul McCartney to Steve Harris to John Entwistle to Johnny Christ, Connor incorporates hard, punchy finger picking technique and elegant high end fills along with a deep bottom end to solidify the band.
John Zambito began playing the drums at age 5 and was brought up listening to hard rock/metal music. Main influences on his playing style are Lamb of God, Disturbed, Pantera, Metallica, A7X, Trivium, and Korn. John delivers a style of drumming that revolves around a syncopated double bass foot technique along with the incorporation of tribal drum beats, crafting a unique, tight, and punchy sound. John also aids in the lyric writing process.
One Day Waiting continues to grow as time progresses. They bring the frantic raw energy at their concerts that empowers the audience to listen and feel their music. As of 2015, they have played in 4 different states and have released two EP's.
Drayter is an award winning pop/rock band from Dallas,Texas. Renowned for their high-energy live shows and emotionally charged modern rock songs, Drayter stitches together melodies from both pop and traditional rock ‘n’ roll that are impassioned, heavy at times, most assuredly danceable, and pop in all the right places. With Liv Miner’s angelic female vocals, jazzy bass lines, combined with Cole Schwartz’s slicing guitar and driving percussion, Drayter’s sound is both unique and familiar to even the most discerning music fan.
“Drayter combines an infectious mash-up of pop angst, blues grit and rock swagger, taking modern pop-rock to stylish new heights.” – Yahoo! Music, December 2015
Formed in 2014, Kill For Mother has developed not only a musical direction unlike the members' previous projects, but also a distinctive visual style built on a love of horror.
They played their first live show to an already loyal fanbase ravenous to see this exciting new band. They are currently in the final stages of mixing an EP and will tour extensively throughout 2015.
Kill For Mother's music is a unique blend of brutal, yet sonically balanced composition. Their approach is complex yet accessible and aims for an aggressive, intelligent crowd. Intense music complimented with striking visuals, Kill For Mother is more than a band, they are an EXPERIENCE.
